Set in a perfect holiday location between white sandy beaches and the river, The Boathouse provides all your needs for a great year round break. The house enjoys a north facing aspect and is light filled, but never hot because of the sea breezes’ cooling influence.
4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, separate rumpus and the kitchen/ lounge with verandah off provide the perfect holiday accommodation.
The views of the water and distant hills from the lounge and verandah prove to be a magnet for just sitting and watching the boats pass by.
The resident kookaburras and possum provide daily and nightly entertainment.
Bring the boat, (the ramp’s a hop, skip and a jump away) or hire one to explore the natural beauty of the local waterways and bay. Dolphins are prolific and you’re almost guaranteed a sighting every visit.
The Boathouse is a well equipped home away from home, and our guests return time after time.
The downfall is, once you stay, you won’t want to leave!

“We had a wonderful time at The Boathouse over Christmas. The house itself is large, spacious and really well equipped and has a gorgeous feel to it, and a stunning view over the river from the balcony and huge windows. The beach was a 2 minute walk behind the house, with gorgeous white sand and calm water; the kids loved jumping off the sand dunes. In the small town of Hawks Nest there were a few excellent shops and a couple of nice restaurants. Great local parks for the kids. Within 2 days I was calmer than Ive been for years. “We normally stay at the Boathouse in summer but decided to take a winter break this year as well. The cosy wood fire was great to snuggle up to at night. “We have stayed at The Boathouse every year for Years now. It’s like having our own holiday home. Friends ask us why we go back to the same place every year. Well it’s because we have found everything we want in a holiday house. Comfy beds, great kitchen equipment including big pans and sharp knives!! Ample for cooking Xmas dinner and more! The views, the location round the corner form the beach and on the river. The kids love it. My favourite spot though is our own private deck off the master bedroom where I can escape and sit and read in the shade of the banksias and watch the river go by.” The Taylor family. Chatswood.
